Kumasi Asante Kotoko is on the way to lifting the Ghana Premier League title. They defeated Medeama SC yesterday at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa confirming the notion that they are the kings of parks. Any park that they have played on this season in the league has resulted in 3 points for them. They were having an unassailable lead in the title race but a series of defeats has brought them close to losing their lead. But they have almost wrapped up the title with the win in Tarkwa yesterday.
The porcupine warriors are left with 4 matches to play. They need just a single point from the remaining 4 fixtures to confirm their status as champions and it is very possible. There is no guarantee that Hearts of Oak will win all their remaining matches judging from the inconsistent displays they have shown us this season. Kotoko deserves to win the title. They have been the best team this season. They were able to win on grounds that hitherto they haven't won before. It's been a great season for them and I will like to congratulate them on a job well done.
