Hearts of Oak Missed Their Key Midfielder For Kotoko Clash

Accra Hearts of Oak did not have attacking midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim on time to feature in the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.

Yussif Mubarak’s 58th minute strike shocked the Phobians at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in the week three of the 2022/23 BetPawa Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians were coming into the game with a poor performance from their last two games of the Ghana Premier League games.

Hearts of Oak had lost their opening game against Aduana Stars fc at the Nana Agyemang Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.

They managed to claim their first point at home against regional rivals, Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in the second week.

Their third week game was against sworn rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Yussif Mubarik scored for Asante Kotoko in the first half before Konadu Yiadom found the equalizer for the Phobians at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians missed talisman in the person of Ibrahim Salifu who did not play a part of the Super clash on Sunday.

He did not travel with the team to Kumasi because he could not recover in time to play a part in that game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Reports indicate that Salifu Ibrahim will be available for selection against Bibiani Gold Stars in match week 4 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
