Four-times Ghana Premier League, GPL winners AshantiGold SC continued with their recent good form with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Accra Great Olympics this afternoon.
Yaw Annor scored the lone goal for the Miners as they registered their 10th win of the campaign.
The three points gained, moves AshGold's tally to 35 as they sit ninth on the table and still in with a chance of finishing in the top four.
This was a closely fought affair with very little to choose between the two sides in front of a sparse crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The first half ended goalless as the two sides sought to undo each other battling for the three points.
Yaw Annor popped up with the match winner in the 68th minute to claim all three points for his side as they continued with their recent good form.
Defeat, leaves Olympics in fifth position on the table with 39 points, meaning they have a lot more to do to finish in the top-four this season.
This was a sweet victory for the Miners and, it completes a double over the Wonder Club after they won the first round encounter at Obuasi.
