Liberty Proffessionals relegated after two decades in the Ghana Premier League.
The scientific soccer lovers has been relegated to the second tier first division level of Ghana Football when next season begins.
King Faisal were also on the verge of being relegated but their performances in their last five games proved to be the turning point for their survival.
Liberty Proffessionals however needed to win to stay in the league as King Faisal had a point better than them. Lierty professionals settled for the 17th position on the league log with 40 points one below 16th, 15th and 14th placed teams.
It is so sad that a team that has produced international standard players such as Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari and many other top footballers to be bowing out of the league like this.
We wish them all well and we hope to see them somewhere in the future back in the premier league.
