Manchester United have rejected an attempt by Barcelona to sign captain Harry Maguire as part of Frankie De Jong deal as reported by Sky Sports. The Spanish giants are in dire need of Central Defensive reinforcements and sees the England international as an ideal fit even though he had a below par performance last season.
Manchester United have been trying to sign Frankie De Jong since the appointment of Erik Ten Haag as first team manager. The new coach has seen the Dutch international as an integral part of his plans and are in direct talks to sign the player.
Many fans have reacted negatively to the news as they feel the former Leicester defender should be allowed to leave due to his woeful performance last season.
This development clearly indicates that, the Red devils captain, devoid of his performance last season is still very much in the plans of Erik Ten Haag.
What do you make of this development?
