Mohammed Kudus Justifies Why Neymar Is Not Better Than Him After A Brace Against South Korea.

The Ajax Amsterdam and Ghanaian playmaker, Kudus Mohammed, scored a brace against South Korea at the Education City Stadium.

Mohammed Kudus scored twice in a tense game as Ghana defeated South Korea 3-2 to claim their first World Cup Group H victory.

In the 24th minute of the first half, Mohammed Salisu gave Ghana the lead against the odds following a scramble in the goalmouth following a free kick awarded by Jordan Ayew.

Kudus doubled the lead in the 34th minute with a precise glancing header following a superbly placed Jordan Ayew cross from the left side.

The Black Stars of Ghana led the South Koreans by two goals at the end of the first half, and English referee Anthony Taylor showed yellow cards to Jung Woo-Young and Daniel Amartey.

Cho Gue Song scored two fast headers with 58th and 61st minutes left in the second half to tie the score for South Korea just before the hour mark.

Kudus scored his second goal of the game in the 68th minute with a well-taken finish to make it 3-2, his sixth and seventh goals for the Ghana Black Stars. 

The brace by Kudus has justified why he granted an interview to Gary Al-Smith on November 23, 2022.

The editors of reflected on Kudus Mohammed's interview and linked it to his performance in the World Cup's second group game. 

Kudus told Gary Al-Smith, “He’s not better than me. He’s just a higher-profile player, that’s all.”

The only African player to have scored two goals in the competition is the tireless midfielder Kudus Mohammed, who was named the Most Valuable Player following the win over the South Koreans.

Kudus, who was substituted in the game against the Portuguese, did not play the complete game after Alexander Djiku replaced him in the 83rd minute.

Additionally, Mohammed Kudus is the second-youngest African player to score two goals in a World Cup match, following Ahmed Musa (21 years and 254 days) for Nigeria against Argentina in 2014.
