Top 6 Football Legends who were Not Properly Valued and are Unappreciated Today.

What an absolute legend Andres Iniesta is, but he was never the top dog because he played next to so many other incredible masters of the game. So here are some absolute legends who were not properly valued during their time.

1. Makelele

Why put another layer of gold paint on the Bentley when you are losing the entire engine. Those are the words of a much appreciated legend Zinedine Zidane. Makelel was like a vacuum cleaner, he sucked up all those loose balls and allowed Real Madrid to play clean football but when football fans talk about the Galacticos, they talk about Beckham, Figo, Ronaldo of course. But they never ever mention Makelele, back in 2003 Real Madrid themselves didn't appreciate the man's talents enough. They got rid of him to Chelsea but it's time to put some respect on this man's name.

2. Deco

Just like we often talk about Ronaldinho saving Barcelona as a club, but we often forget another legend that lined up next to him. Deco was the creative mind that helped free Ronaldinho to be his best self. He replaced another legend on the Portugal national team too Rui Costa and so just like Makelele, put some respect on Deco's name.

3. Juan Sebastain Veron

The most elegant player ever, first off Veron was incredible in Italy but to really know his worth, you have to travel to his native Argentina where he is truly a legend. Veron fell in an era of great Argentinian footballers, he came along just after Maradona and just before Messi. But he often caught blame for the country's bad performance in 2002 and was left off the roster in 2006. So his name isn't often thrown around with the other stars, but he needs respect too.

4. Trezeguet

How many players are so good that an Egyptian international gets named after them? “David Trezeguet hands down is the best finisher I have ever seen, easy. I have never seen anyone like him in my life” – Henry. Imagine the greatest scorer in French history saying you can finish better than him. Trezeguet is often overlooked because he played at a golden age of French strikers, Henry, Anelka. But his time with Juventus and the French national team was truly legendary and then he went to play in Argentina. What a boss.

5. Redondo

Today, we barely even speak about another incredible Argentinian. He won three champions leagues and a Copa America in 1993 but today when we talk about Madrid greats, he's barely mentioned. But we have to be honest, we're not really sure why do you think this absolute legend is often overlooked.

6. Iniesta

Iniesta was on the greatest Barcelona teams of all time. Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho, Xavi and Puyol, he's played with so many legends but because of this, he's often never been able to win the Ballon d'Or. Even if he probably deserved at least one, so give Iniesta all your respect just like the rest of these legends.

They may not be the biggest names in history, but football wouldn't be the same without them. Thanks for reading this article, please follow us for more contents and don’t forget to drop other names you think we forgot in the comments section.
