Whenever any World Cup rolls around, the pressing questions for Africa's contingent are how many can realistically hope to reach the knockouts, and whether any sides can be expected to equal or surpass the three teams -- Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana -- that have reached the quarterfinals.
The Black Stars of Ghana is in group H where it will face Portugal, Uruguay (former opponents at the 2014 and 2010 world cup respectively) and South Korea. There have been mixed reactions since the draw came out. Quite a good amount of people are calling for a revenge for the Portugal and Uruguay matches, because both teams defeated the Black Stars at the previous encounter. A section of the football fraternity is skeptical about Ghana’s chances and are tipping Portugal and Uruguay to qualify ahead of South Korea and Ghana. Whatever the situation, the end will surely justify the means.
What are your expectations with this development?
