Real Madrid secured their historic 14th European club title with a 1-0 victory over their contenders, Liverpool in the 2022 UEFA Champions League final in Paris yesterday.
Real Madrid, the ultimate emerging champions had some heroics who displayed a world class play at both ends of the pitch. Thibaut Courtois, the goalie of Real Madrid was one of such heroics and certainly his outstanding goalkeeping skills against Liverpool never went unnoticed as he was crowned the Man of the Match in the Champions League final.
Thibaut Courtois' Man of the Match performance saw some of the most brilliant saves throughout the game which kept Real Madrid still one step ahead of Liverpool, during the first half, the reds of Liverpool dominated much of the play. The 30-year-old Belgian decision-making, discipline, distribution, as well as his command of his penalty area, that stood out just as much and saw him named as UEFA's man of the match.
