Players of  Manchester United Club keep getting call ups into their national teams ahead of the  2022 FIFA World Cup which kicks-off in a few days time in Qatar.

For the club, it’s very imperative and heartwarming for their players to be part of the global showpiece as a reward to their performance at both club and country level.

Defenders Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia have both been called up by their respective National teams.

Martinez, who is a part of the Argentina squad, has been a revelation since arriving at the club in summer from Ajax and quickly endeared himself to the club's supporters with his whole-hearted approach and excellent passing range.

It comes as no great surprise that he is in coach Lionel Scaloni's 26-man group for the big tournament in Qatar, and he will link up with his international colleagues after Sunday's Premier League contest at Fulham.

Martinez came on as a late substitute in the 4-2 win over Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup last Thursday night and will be in contention to return to the starting line-up at Craven Cottage, as the Reds seek to end this part of the season on a high in the capital.

On his part, Malacia has been selected by former United manager Louis van Gaaas one of 26 players to represent the Netherlands at the Mundial.

The 23-year-old is set to go to his first major tournament internationally at the senior level, having received his first cap in September 2021.

The full-back made his Netherlands bow in the second match of their qualifying campaign, providing an assist during a 4-0 win over Montenegro.

Malacia becomes the latest Red to be called up for the winter competition, with 13 of his team-mates already selected to represent their countries.

Other players who would be on our screens at the Qatar World Cup from the United camp are four Brazilians, Alex Telles, Antony, Casemiro, Fred, Facundo Pellistri of Uruguay and Christian Eriksen (Denmark) including  Raphael Varane of France.
