Former Chelsea Coach Shortlisted For Black Stars Job

The Ghana Football Association has shortlisted former Chelsea coach for the vacant Black Stars job.

The Black Stars put up a poor performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where the nation exited at the group stage with just three points from three group games.

The Black Stars lost their opening group game against former European champions, Portugal by 3-2 before they came back stronger in their second game against South Korea where they won 3-2.

Their third and final group game against Uruguay shocked many Ghanaians where they lost by 2-0 to exit the tournament.

The Black Stars job has been vacant since the departure of German trained, Otto Addo who guided the national team to Qatar. The Black Stars were making their fourth World Cup appearance at the Mundial. The Black Stars made their maiden appearance in Germany 2006 before subsequent appearance in South Africa and Brazil.
