Black Stars Probable Line Up Puts Jordan Ayew On Bench, Dede Ayew To Play As Lead Striker

Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac looks ahead to winning his first game at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations. To be able chalk success over Gabon tonight, the Serbian tactician has to parade a formidable squad that is way beyond the opponent’s strength. His starting line up is tied to his aim and he stands the chance to get it right or wrong.

Milovan Rajevac is likely to effect changes to the line up that started against Morocco on Monday. Some players have the opportunity to start in tonight’s encounter while others could miss out on the match day squad.

Goalkeeper Joseph Wallocot is assured of starting in goal post for Black Stars despite conceding one goal against Morocco. Wallocot took over the goal post as soon as he earned a debut call up into the team. He has won the admiration of the head coach and stands favorite among his competitors. He is seen as improving match after match and will be expected to take charge of that vital position.

In defense, Andy Yiadom is in pole position to man the right back position. Recently, he has been given the chance ahead of his colleagues. The left back position could for Baba Abdul Rahman, who has been playing in that area for some time now. He comes in to the position with experience and looks favorite to start tonight.

In central defense, Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku are in a better shape to start for the Senior National team. The duo have been playing in those positions for months now. They have gradually established cohesion, hence best option to represent Ghana.

Baba Iddrisu could keep his position, that is, the holding midfield role. He will be sitting just in front of the center pair to track balls before they travel to any dangerous area or in the final third. He is expected to deliver without too many blemishes.

In front of Baba Iddrisu could be Daniel Kofi Kyereh and Thomas Partey. The two players could be swapping positions as and when needed. Their main task will be, to create goal bound chances for strikers to score, dominate proceedings as much as they can and score if they are in a better position to do that.

Kamaldeen Sulemana and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku could keep the wings and whip in crosses that are directed at goal.

Dede Ayew could then be deployed as the arrow head for Black Stars.
