I was the most feared man in camp - Marouane Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini-Bakkioui is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chinese club Shandong Luneng Taishan. Born in Etterbeek to Moroccan parents, Fellaini played youth football for Anderlecht, R.A.E.C. Mons, Royal Francs Borains and Charleroi S.C. before joining Standard Liège.

According to the Belgian international, he was the most feared man in the camp.

"I think I am the most feared man. In all camps which i was involved in, nobody dare say something to my face or shout at me. But they don't know how sweet iam, if a Coach makes a starting XI and exclude me he would send a captain to sweet talk me about why am not starting, but deep inside i know iam not angry with coach's decisions they just look at me and perhaps assume that iam a bad guy," the Belgian international stated.

"In Belgium camp HAZARD and De Bruyne would disappear for Lunch and guess what, they always bring me a takeaway of what was on the menu and explain to me that they don't want to see me hungry, because i might be angry when iam hungry.

"I tried to show them that iam a sweet guy, but they just don't buy into that. Even when the management asked us to go in pairs at world cup i was the last guy to be picked by Lukaku, because he had no choice, i was the last man standing to be pick on.

"During match day i just lift my eyes and Someone will see a need to pass that ball to me or cross that ball to me. In reality am not a bad guy or strict guy, but no one seems to trust me. At Everton i had Steven Pienaar, he only enjoyed going with me at night, what i noticed he thought i was his bodyguard, when strangers are approaching he would hide behind me, during the day he always goes with Tim Cahill."
