Here's the new-look Asante Kotoko technical team ahead of the second round of the 2020/21 GPL season

Record Ghana champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has announced a new technical structure for the club ahead of the resumption of the 2020/21 football season.

The six-man technical team is headed by former Ghana coach, Mariano Barreto with the Portuguese supported by fellow countrymen, Pedro Manuel and Bruno Miguel with Ghanaian trio, Johnson Smith, Abdulai Gazale and Issah Najahu also part of the team.

Coach Barreto will have Bruno Miguel as his first assistant and video analyst with Pedro Manuel as a physical and injury prevention coach.

Johnson Smith and Abdulai Gazale will also act as assistant coaches of the club with an added responsibility of being in charge of the youth setup of Asante Kotoko.

The duo, handled the technical affairs of the club for most parts of the first round of the season after the sacking of Maxwell Konadu in December.

Najahu Issah will continue with his role as the goalkeeper's trainer for the club as they look to claim this season's title.

The Portuguese trio, have all signed a year-and-a-half deals with the 23-times Ghana champions.

Kotoko are seeking to win a first GPL title since the 2013/14 season, and, are four points behind the leaders Karela United FC at the halfway point of the campaign.

Coach Barreto and his newly formed technical team, have been tasked to bring home this diadem and, they will continue to prepare the Kotoko team for the reminder of the season.

Kotoko will trek to Techiman to face Eleven Wonders when the GPL resumes on the weekend of April 2-4.
