Meet The 21 Year Old Ghanaian From Chorkor, Who Helped Defeat Real Madrid In The Champions League.

The world of football had a fairly tale ending yesterday which no one saw it coming. It was meant to be a walk in the park for the giants, who had won the trophy more than any other club, and also played on their newly constructed home turf, but it ended in tears instead.

At the end of the 90 minutes plus injury time, Real Madrid failed to win the match and lost to Moldovan debutant side, FC Sheriff Tiraspol by scoring just a single goal, while they conceded two goals.

A key player on the Sheriff's side was 21-year old Ghanaian Edmund Addo. Edmund Addo played the entire 90 minutes for Sheriff and had an outstanding performance throughout.

Edmund started with Colts football side with Mighty Cosmos FC in Ghana before he moved to Slovakian side FK Senica, making 47 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

On 14th July 2021, he signed for his current side, Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova making 6 appearances so far.

Following his team's win, his neighbors and fans in Ghana took to the streets to jubilate with him.
