Jose Mourinho now lead the sack race after an abysmal display by his side. Spurs have lost five of their last six league games and eviction from the FA cup by Everton. In view of this, a lot of pressure is mounting on their boss Mourinho and many has predicted he could be sacked sooner or later.
Spurs lost to London rivals West Ham by 2-1. Tottenham were tagged title contenders before Christmas last year, but their slow start this year have seen them occupied the ninth position with 36 points out of both Champions league and Europa league spot.
However, they have some positives to pick from their performance. They do have the carabao cup final to play against Man City on April 25, they do have 4-1 lead against Austrian side Wolfsberger in the ongoing Europa league. The second tie takes place this week at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium.
The Portugese International has defiantly claimed he remains one of the best managers in the world after Sunday’s game and he is no way under any pressure. He added “Sometimes the results are a consequence of multi-situations and my coaching methods are second to nobody in the world”.
The fixtures are fast approaching and Spurs have two games to tackle this week. First Wolfsberger in the Europa league on Wednesday, followed by Burnley on Sunday. All games take place at the Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium.
