Real Madrid star Toni Kroos test positive for COVID 19.
Real Madrid has announced their super star Toni Kroos- who was already in isolation has tested positive for COVID 19, ruling him out of action for la liga final match against Villarreal.
Midfielder Toni Kroos missed Sunday 1:0 win over Althletic Bilbao due to health and safety protocol having come into direct contact with a confirmed Corona virus case. The Germany international had remaind away from the club since Friday, when Real Madrid issued a statement revealing he had returned negative results at that stage.
However he will now miss the final match of the season for Los Blanco's, who remain in the running to retain their their league title in Spain. It has appeared that Zinedine Zidane side were going to take over at the summit, only for thier city rivals to stage a comeback at home against Osasuna. Luis Suarez scored a late winner at the Wanda Metropolitano to grab a 2-1 win that keeps them in the pole position.
Real Madrid host Europa league finalist Villarreal sunday, while Diego Simeone Althletic Madrid travel to relegation- threatened Real Valladolid. Toni Kroos health will be of great interest to Germany coach Joachim low too, considering the delayed Euro 2020 tournament begins next month.
