As part of measures to clamp down hooliganism, the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association, has indefinitely banned Twumasi Sports Complex in Nsuatre in Bono region and and Ejisu Okese Park in Ashanti region.
In the case of Twumasi Sports Complex, it hosted a division one league game between Nsuatreman FC and Real Tamale United in zone one this afternoon.
After the said game, officials and the entire playing body of the away team Real Tamale United were subjected to all manner of assault.
It has been reported, Real Tamale United team was attacked without any provocation.
In the case of Ejisu Okese Park, Wassaman United hosted Star Madrid in a division one league match in zone two this afternoon. Officials and some supporters of home team Wassaman United held the match officials to hostage and ended the game abruptly.
Upon receiving reports from these venues, the Executive Council of the Ghana Premier Football Association has indefinitely banned these venues and a new venue will be given to these clubs, that is, Nauatreman FC and Wassaman United, to honor their home matches.
The Ghana Football Association has in strong terms condemn these incidents and remains poised to ensure an incident free matches across all league centers.
The Ghana Football Association has cautioned others clubs to abide fully by the Rules and Regulations governing the game or face severe sanctions if found in any manner that brings the game into disrepute.
