After announcing his intention to make it to 2022 FIFA World Cup with the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has hit the training grounds to prepare his body shape for the upcoming global football competition.
Asamoah has been spotted at Legon Ajax Park, going through some physicals to regain fitness and be part of the team as a striker. The viral video and pictures show Asamoah Gyan running from one end to the other as his trainers watch on.
Whiles running from one end to the other, a training equipment had been placed to get him through some physical drills.
The former Sunderland hitman dominated discussions in Ghana, today, after revealing in an interview with BBC’s Bennet, he looks forward to joining Black Stars for this year’s Qatar World Cup that kicks off in November. He draws inspiration from Cameroonian football legend Roger Milla.
The desire by the former Legon Cities striker has been met with mixed reviews as some see him to be above the expected body weight of a player.
