Techiman City has now thrown in the towel in the Division one league matches. The difficulty and obstacles laid before the team is forseeable, with some desperate decisions taken by the football governing body and other officials to frustrate the club.
This is the same team, that was banned not to play their home games at Techiman but suppose to relocate to where GFA will chose for them. Due to this, Techiman City failed to play their Division one match against Real Tamale United at Tamale Sports Stadium because of the funds for travelling a long distance.
The founder and President of the Techiman City have done it all by ensuring that everything is in the right order. But to prevent them indefinitely from their home grounds is an outrageous decision to take.
Meanwhile, all these big clubs in the league like Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Ashgold and more are all given some number of matches to be played as a sanction to the club. How much more, a lower division side to face this kind of treatment.
This kind of treatment, calls for FIFA and CAF intervention in our league, because it is getting out of hand.Eventhough, With the kind of referees officiating our matches of-late has nothing better under their sleeves to show that they are qualified enough to handle their matches.
The GFA should be up and doing because it is not easy to stand on your feet to quit football in the country looking at the kind of investment in the team to compete in the league too much to lose such people.
