Breaking: Asante Kotoko Marksman Lands a $400,000 Dollar Transfer Deal

Kumasi Asante Kotoko are on the verge of losing one of their prized assets in the coming days.

The Porcupine Warriors are the champions of the Ghana Premier League, having claimed the title last season at the expense of their rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.

The record Ghana Premier League holders qualified for the CAF Champions League as a result of winning the domestic league and were paired against Burkina Faso club, Rail Club de Kadiogo.

Kotoko managed to defeat the Burkina Faso club by 1-0 in the first leg of the competition at the General Mathieu Kerekou Friendship Stadium on Monday.

The return leg is set for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday with the winner of the two legs qualifying for the next state of the CAF Champions League.

Asante Kotoko Sporting Club however played the first leg clash of the CAF Champions League without their top sctriker, Franck Mbella.

Franck Mbella Etouga (21) has arrivedin Cairo, Egypt to seal his move to Egyptian Premier League side Al-Masry SC in a deal worth around US$400,000.

The Cameroonian striker Etouga will receive US$25,000 every month as a salary from the Egyptian club.

He scored 21 goals in 30 games in his debut season in the Ghana Premier League last season.
