Technical Director and Administrator for Ampem Darkoa Ladies has tagged the season’s Ghana’s Women’s Premier League grand finale against Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies as Operation Redeem Ourselves.
Denkyire, describes previous seasons defeat as disheartening and believes the current players possess what it takes to triumph on Saturday, May 28th May, 2022 against their familiar foe, Hasmal Ladies.
“We have suffered enough in the hands of Hasaacas ladies and this time round we are coming to redeem ourselves. We want to redeem oourselves from Hsaacaas this time around. We have tagged this game ‘operation redeem ourseleves’.
Twice beaten, twice shy and this time around we are going strong against Hasaacas because players from the national team on our side play with lots of experience.
We have been trophyless for quite a long time for the past 3years. This time round, we are coming and we are coming strong”.
He acknowledged that structures have been rightly placed for the game’s victory and the African experience as a motivatingfactor.
“We have beef up up the team with a lot of players. We have placed all things in order to turn things around this time.
We are financially sound so incase we win this match we are going to Africa. That one is a strong motivating factor because all the players want to showcase in higher height and we are going to urge our girls to win”.
He further described the strength of the two sides of which zones does not play a factor.
“Both zones are very competitive teams. In my zone, there are strong sides here.
We did not start from a very note but as we progressed, we gathered momentum. Incase of Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas ladies, is a different ball game all together not the strength of the two zones’’, he concluded.
Amepm Darkoa Ladies topped Northern Zone with 39 points to settle a repeat of final against Hasaacas Ladies.
