Black Stars Striker Inaki Williams Promises To Play In Afcon, Reveals Role Played By GFA President

Black Stars striker Inaki Williams has revealed the role played by the President of Ghana Football Association for him to finally accept to play for Black Stars of Ghana. The Athletic Bilbao striker promises to play in Africa Cup of Nations and enjoy the moments that will be presented.

"Good players travel with their national team. I am 28 years old and this opportunity was not going to be given to me anymore. I'm going to enjoy the moment, enjoy my roots and give back to Ghana for the opportunity it has given me. We appreciated that the next African Cups were played in the summer. I will represent the country of my parents, where I feel very loved.”The president of the Ghanaian federation [Kurt Okraku] is the one who pushed hardest for me to be there,” Inaki Williams said as quoted by marca.

Inaki Williams and other players recently made public their decision to represent Ghana with immediate effect. Whereas some Ghanaians expressed elation over the decision, others were of different views, citing this year’s FIFA World Cup as the rationale behind their intentions.

Coach Otto Addo and his henchmen will definitely be boosted by the presence of these players who will enforce stiff competition into the setup.
