Ghana Blackstars managed to pull-off a dramatic victory against the fierce Super eagle's of Nigeria thereby securing their fourth world cup qualification in Qatar.
After the world cup group stages draw, Ghana finds themselves in a fierce group comprising of Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea. The draw have raised concerns from Ghanaians on their slim chances of exceeding the group stage.
Here are the main reasons why Ghana won't exceed the knock out stage of the 2022 world cup in Qatar.
1. Ghana Blackstars lacks quality. The Blackstars of Ghana lacks quality in terms of squad depth with a less experienced coaching and technical team. Ghana's interim coach lacks experience to match his opponents. Ghana Blackstars don't have the squad depth to match their group opponents who have quality players and experienced coaching staff.
2. The Blackstars lacks a strategic game tactics. Ghana Blackstars have complex strategy and tactics but devises for a defensive game tactics against strong opponents. The Blackstars of Ghana lacks the ability in terms of man-to-man marking, coverage shell in front of goal area and positioning of players. They lack offensive strategy in capitalising competitive advantages as compared to their opponents.
3. Lack of sacrifice from the players and the inability to cooperate as a team. Ghana Blackstars are blessed with individual talents but lacks the ability to work as a team towards a common goal. The Blackstars of Ghana lacks the connection to channel their energy into completing their task which will lead to their earlier exit from the world cup.
