“I’m Happy to Return to The Field” - Hearts of Oak Midfielder

Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen has expressed delight over his return to the field.

The 23-year-old was sidelined by a muscle injury for almost one year, missing a chunk of last season’s Ghana Premier League games. He picked the picked while the Phobians engaged Legon Cities last two seasons but has finally returned to the field after doctors passed him fit.

He took to his Facebook page to express his delight: “Alhamdullilah Alhamdullilah Alhamdullilah. Thank Allah for returning back on the field officially after good one year. “Not the results we wanted but Jah know star. We pick up the pieces and start conquering everyone Insha Allah.” The former Ghana U-23 midfielder was substitute when Hearts of Oak lost 1-0 to city rivals, Accra Great Olympics in the “Ga Mashi” derby at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The 2004 CAF Confederation Cup winners have had a roller coaster outing this term, grabbing six wins, five draws and four losses. Their fourth derby defeat against Great Olympics in match day 16 has elicited anger among the teeming with many calling for his head. The 2001 CAF Super Cup have managed 23 points from 15 matches in 7th with a week seven outstanding clash against arch rivals, Asante Kotoko.
