Kumasi Asante Kotoko finished second in the Ghana Premier League this season. The Porcupine Royals were marvellous in terms of performance throughout the season. The Fabulous boys amassed 57 points in 34 matches. The club are still active in the FA Cup and they are adamant of winning it.
They have won once, lost thrice and drawn once in their last five matches. The club lost to Elmina Sharks by 1-0 through. Tahir Mensah was the goal scorer
Ex-Kotoko Legend, Sarfo Gyamfi who was part of the 1992 team that represent Ghana in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) gave his verdict on his former club’s performance game against Sharks and these were his words
“Who recruited these players for Kotoko? They have turned Politicians, some are useless, most players should be sacked. I can even play better than them. Most of them should be sacked from the team,”. He said.
