Tamale City FC beat Bofoakwa Tano 3-1 to return to the top in Zone One as they eye GPL promotion

National Division One League, DOL side Tamale City FC posted another victory on Friday afternoon to keep their qualification to the Elite Division on course.

The home win at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, saw them return to the summit of the table in Zone One, level on points with second placed Nsoatreman United but ahead on goals difference.

Nsoatreman United had earlier won their midweek game played on Wednesday against Wa Suntaa FC 2-1 to move ahead of the table.

With four matches to end the campaign, the Zone One competition seems to be going down to the wire in a straight fight between Tamale City FC and Nsoatreman United for the sole ticket to the top-flight league next season.

In Zone Two, leaders FC Samartex are one win away from qualification to the Ghana Premier League, GPL next season and, they will clinch that with a win on Sunday against Swedru All Blacks in an away encounter.

Liberty Professionals are three points ahead of second placed Tema Youth FC in Zone Three, and, they will pick the qualification ticket if they better or march the results of the later in the last four fixtures in the zone.
