Gaffer of Tottenham, Antonio Conte has rubbished the importance of the premier league meeting held yesterday between premier league clubs. The spurs manage believes the meeting was unfruitful as it failed to decongest the league games during the festive seasons and protect the players during the increasing rise in the covid omicron cases which had seen many club matches been postponed.
Conte believes the decision by the premier league was already made even before the meeting commenced hence there was no need for the meeting. This was what the former inter-milan coach had to say when he was pressed about the meeting;
"I think so. Because when you have a wall in front of you, you can ask and speak about what you want, but every decision was taken,I think so. Because when you have a wall in front of you, you can ask and speak about what you want, but every decision was taken"
Conte also had this to add to his rants; "It is not easy for us, it is not easy for all the teams to play after only one day, it's not simple. You have to manage the situation very well because of the risk of losing players to injuries,"
Two premier leagues thus Liverpool vs leeds and Watford vs Burnley.
