Hearts of Oak have tried to put up an ultra modern 5,000 capacity sports stadium at Pobiman. Earlier on, the idea of this project was to raise academy players to become the next Ishmael Addo, Don Bortey, Charles Taylor and more.
With all the proper supervision given to this players, they can shine from the training they will pass through. At first the Pobiman project was only pitches but the majority shareholder of the club saw the business side of the project.
Togbe Afede XIV, want to use the club for monetary purposes where other clubs will hire the stadium to other teams for financial profit. Lately, the board chairman for Hearts of Oak has started constructing a new stadium to help the team in their small matches.
The 5,000 capacity stadium will not be able to accommodate Kotoko and Hearts matches except some small matches. These are matches that doesn't have higher magnitude and demand a bigger stadium.
This is the kind of investment and project the Phobians have to do for a long time since 1911. This management and board needa to be given thumbs up for getting this kind of idea to lift the club to a greater height.
