Joseph Esso joins Algerian giants USMA for a record fee around the region of $500,000.
Player of the month of February of the ongoing Ghana premier league Joseph Esso of Dreams Fc has followed the footsteps of former Kumase Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Poku in a fee around $500k.
The former Hearts of Oak player has racked a total of ten goals in the premier league and earned a call up to the senior national team the Black Stars of Ghana.
Hearts of Oak will be bitting off their fingers for letting him leave the club for free. Most Ghanaian players hasn't been that successful whenever they move to the north African football countries. Perhaps these new crop of players will be the ones to break that long standing genes.
In as much as you may be happy for Joseph Esso, this move rips a huge personality of the Ghana premier league. The clubs can't just keep their best players and it is a big worry.
