Accra Lions have describes the addition of ex-Ghana international, Ibrahim Tanko to their Technical set up as “massive.”

Tanko, who once served as Cameroon and Black Stars assistant coach, joined the newly promoted side mid-way into the season. Nana Obiri Yeboah is CEO of Accra Lions.

“He’s been massive, the former international player who played for Borussia Dortmund at that level and he is also a coach, he’s been massive. “He is somebody who can relate to the players from his experience as a young player, as a mature player.

“So when you have people like that around your technical team, it’s always massive. Accra Lions earned top flight promotion last season from ZONE III and have not done badly this season. They have collected 11 victories, seven draws and 12 defeats in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League. They sit 12 on the league table with 40 points from 30 games and could beat the drop should they manage to claw points in the remaining four games.
