Ryan Giggs who was the Coach of the Wales national team resigned due to the issues around this case and is finally set to face the court on Monday.
Giggs had been charged for being abusive and also for using controlling behavior against his girlfriend between 2017 and 2020. The former Manchester United captain denied all charges that were levelled against him.
This is the latest update from his case after another Manchester United player, Mason Greenwood was also charged with a similar case early this year.
Greenwood has been suspended from the club and is currently out on bail awaiting the results of the investigations conducted by the police in Manchester.
It is hoped that the investigations will be completed in time, and should the verdict be in favour of the Manchester United player, he will return to training with the first team.
