Coach Milovan Rajevac and captain Dede Ayew have promised to deliver against the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Stadium tomorrow. In a pre-match conference ahead of the encounter, both head coach and skipper were very optimistic of victory as the playing and technical members are poised for duty in the 2022 World Cup qualifier.
“We are thinking positively about the next match. So we will do our best to make everybody happy and try to deliver good performance and positive results for all of us.” Coach Milovan Rajevac told the press.
“Everything is going on well. We have been training for a while now, few days. This game is an important game so we are just calmly preparing. The squad is ready and the players are ready to give three points tomorrow.” Dede Ayew told the press.
Their statements affirm what to expect from the Black Stars of Ghana as they aspire to overturn events in Group G. It is breathtaking for key leaders of the team, that is, head coach and captain to come out boldly and make their intentions clear without mincing words as they play at home.
Selection is seen as one of the major decisions to be made by head coaches globally. In a case of abundant talent which is akin to Ghana, which player to start is regarded a tough call. Milovan Rajevac acknowledges that but indicated that players are aware of that and will go accordingly.
“I have faith in my players of course. Before the match I always have so many things in my mind. I have to make a decision about starting eleven and every player is aware of that.”
Milovan Rajevac is known for giving young players the opportunity to represent the nation. In his second stint, he does not have any motive of shifting away from that but added that a blend of young and experienced players is a catalyst for success.
“You need experience players who are matured. The mixture of young and experienced players is usually the best recipe for success.”
His remarks will go a long way of proving to players what could be achieved by each member of the squad. Whereas senior players are mostly seen as key starters, young players under Milovan Rajevac can be assured of a berth if they give good account of themselves.
Ghanaians anticipate a boisterous performance from the Senior National team. Resounding victory from Black Stars is not subject to negotiations.
