Otto Addo Names Clermont Foot Defender For Portugal Clash

Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has named Clermont Foot utility player, Seidu Alidu to start against Portugal.

In a formation that looks extremely defensive minded, Seidu Alidu will start on the right side of defence for the Black Stars.

The Black Stars are making their fourth appearance at the World Cup after their maiden appearance at the 2006 edition in Germany.

Ghana has subsequently appeared at the 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and Brazil respectively where they finished in the quarter finals in the 2010 edition in South Africa.

Below is the starting eleven to face the Portugal national team at the 974 international stadium in Qatar.

Lawrence Ati Zigi, Daniel Amartey, Alidu Seidu, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, Baba Rahman, Abdul Samed Salis, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Andre Ayew and Inaki Williams.

Ghana is paired in group H alongside Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea for the month long tournament.
