Kudus Mohammed’s Goal Not Enough To Prevent Ajax From Losing To Liverpool

Liverpool have defeated Ajax 2:1 in a match day two fixture of UEFA Champions League at Anfield. Ghanaian international Kudus Mohammed got a goal for Ajax, but that could not salvage the situation for the Amsterdam-based club.

Mohammed Salah opened the score card for Liverpool in the 17th minutes. That was a breathtaking occasion for the reds as they were playing home. But, the game took another twist, with an equalizer from Ghanaian playmaker Kudus Mohammed. Ten minutes on, Kudus Mohammed delivered with a spectacular goal for Ajax.

Kudus Mohammed got the nod to start as a striker for Ajax and he took the opportunity to once again respond to why he deserves to play regularly.

He moved as the ball was heading towards the final third, which eventually landed in his direction through Jota. He swiftly landed the ball at the top corner of the goal post beyond the reach of goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

First half ended a goal apiece but Liverpool ensure they keep all points at home as they fired the second goal in the 89th minutes through Joel Matip.

Kudus Mohammed was hauled off in the 86th minutes for Brian Brobbey. Game wrapped up with a 2:1 win for Liverpool.
