Just In: Chris Hughton opens up for the first time on his role for Nigeria showdown

Former Newcastle United manager, Chris Hugton has revealed insight into his new role with the Black Stars before the World Cup qualifiers.

The New technical advisor for the Black Stars, Hughton is ready to get back to specialized obligations as Ghana face Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup qualifying in 25th and 27th March, 2022.

The ex- Brighton boss supervisor has been designated to a break four-man specialized authority gathering to direct the Black Stars ahead of the Nigeria clash in March.

Speaking to Chronicle Live, the 63 year-old expressed his delight of his new role and highly privileged to support the country.

"Indeed, and I have a great deal of energy. I will be associated with Ghana," Hughton said.

"My dad hailed from Ghana and Ghana have two World Cup end of season games against Nigeria. I'm engaged with that."

"There is a mentor yet I have the title of specialized consultant and my job will be to help the mentor and the staff for these two games."

"In any case, I am a lot of hoping to get back and bring a great deal to the table." he added.

Hughton will help his associate and previous Ghana assistant coach, Otto Addo, who has been given the temporal lead role ahead of the crucial playoffs with the super eagles in March.

Aston Villa U23 mentor George Boateng, a previous Netherlands global of Ghanaian legacy, and Nordsjaelland youth mentor Mas-Ud Didi Dramani have been selected as collaborator mentors.

Ghana will have Nigeria in Cape Coast on March 25 and travel away for the return leg in Abuja four days after the fact.

The victors from the two legs will secure a slot to represent Africa in the upcoming World Cup, Qatar in November.

Hughton and Addo were precursors to forever supplant the Serbian prior to being united for the Nigeria standoff.

Per media reports, it is understood that the previous will be named as considerable lead trainer after the qualifiers.
