Check out the results of the two matches played in the GPL on Monday

It was business as usual for home side Bechem United as they kept their unbeaten home record intact in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, GPL with a 1-0 victory over visiting Great Olympics this afternoon.

Forward Augustine Okrah scored the only goal of the game as the Hunters run away with the three points at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem.

The win, ensured that Bechem United cut Asante Kotoko's lead at the top of the stairs to eight points after the Matchday 23 fixtures.

Bechem United have now won 11 matches in the ongoing 2021-22 campaign with eight drawn games and four defeats in the 23 matches they have played.

Great Olympics are fifth on the table with 36 points and, must improve on their away form if they hope to finish in the top-four at the end of the campaign.

The other game played on Monday, saw Real Tamale United, RTU jump out of the relegation zone with an important 3-2 home win over Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium.

RTU has 25 points, just one point above the relegation zone as they seek to save they season.

Chelsea, lost for the first time in 13 matches and, will have to return to the drawing board to make new plans. They remain in ninth position with 30 points, six points behind the top four.

The GPL will continue at the weekend with the Matchday 24 fixtures nationwide.
