Former Asante Kotoko defender, Eric Donkor says the club is capable of raking home at least nine points from their remaining five matches.

The Porcupine Warriors lost 1-0 in week 30 to Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. The loss cut their points’ lead to just to six more than second placed Medeama SC and Eric Donkor believes could claim at least nine points from the remaining five games.

“I think looking at the 15 points build up now even if they are able to get nine points and even if Medeama lose against Kotoko in Tarkwa, it will be a good boost for the club and their winning title contention as well.” Eric Donkor told Radio Gold SportTalk.

Asante Kotoko sit top of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League with 56 points while Medeama are second on 50 points after 30 games. Kotoko are away to Medeama in week 31 at the Akoon Park in Takrwa and a defeat will be detrimental to Kotoko’s title winning hopes.
