Thomas Partey repaying Arsenal the £45m spent to bring him to London as unbeaten run continues

With his unbeaten Premier League record stretching back to April, Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is repaying English giants Arsenal for the £45 million paid to bring him to London.

His return has proved crucial to the Gunners' ascent in the table after missing the first three games of the season, all of which they lost.

The Gunners have risen from the Premier League's relegation zone to the top six.

The Ghanaian is proving to be a crucial piece of manager Mikel Arteta's puzzle, and he is also proving to be a leader on the field.

His man of the match effort against Aston Villa, combined with his dependable performance on the duty against Leicester, handed the Gunners back-to-back victories for the second time this season.

Arsenal last lost a Premier League game with Partey in the middle of the pitch in April, when they were defeated 1-0 by Everton.

His first season was destroyed by injury, and his bad luck seemed to continue when he had another setback to start the season, but his return to fitness has demonstrated that he is the guy who makes the difference.
