I don’t build my team around one or two players-Hearts of Oak Coach

After the game with Techiman Eleven Wonders and the Accra Hearts of Oak, the coach was questioned how he made it without their game changer and creator in the team. In the name of Patrick Razak, the coach stated that, “it is very bad to establish your team on some players knowing that you can miss them when needed them the most to injury”. My style is make all my players versatile in at least two positions of their related part of the field.

“I did my part as a coach to get the team what they want. If there is no Patrick Razak, there are other options in Kojo Obeng Jnr, Afriyie Barnieh and more. These players are all in a good state to get the club to the top of the league. That is what I am good at, rotating a lot of players to get the best out of them. This condition normally happens to a lot of big teams that have taught me a lesson”. Samuel Boadu on post match interview.

When coming from Medeama that was the same policy I used which helped the team. If we can remember, it took him two season’s to stay on top of the league before the league was truncated and Anass Expose also set in. Which brought the league in an abrupt end.

But the coach is now with Hearts of Oak and the mentality with team has always been the same. If he is not scoring, you will not be allowed to score as well. It takes only a serious minded coach to say this after their game and show his tactics and direction of the club. I believe he should have won the coach of the month award.
