We were focused on winning the game - Hearts of Oak's Man of the Match

Accra Hearts of Oak sits on top of the Ghana Premier League with 49 points whiles Kumasi Asante Kotoko sits just behind them with 47 points.

When Kumasi Asante Kotoko drew against Aduana Stars, it was obvious that a win was going to catapult the team to the summit of the league with two points stretch.

In the match against Berehum Chelsea, the deadlock was broken by Benjamin Efutu through a corner from Ibrahim Salifu. The player ended up being the Most Valuable Player in the game.

After winning the MVP, the player in an interview said;

"First of all I will like to give thanks to God for this victory and will like to pat my teammates on their back for this victory”. We were all buoyed for this match and were ready for victory.

“Personally, I was determined to push to ensure that we ended the game victorious. I was focused and my concentration has been high prior to this game and I believe that is what helped me in winning the MVP award.

“Yes, it is part of the game. With things like that, all eyes will be on you. But the target was to remain focused and win our game.”
