Check The Latest Injury Situation in Black Stars Camp

The Black Stars of Ghana did not have a clean bill of health prior to emplaning to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo was dealt a big blow when two goalkeepers got injured in a space of four days ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars number one and two respectively, Jojo Wollacott of Charlton Athletic and Orlando Pirates’ Richard Ofori were ruled out of the World Cup with various degrees of injuries.

Both goalkeepers however joined the Black Stars camp in Qatar to offer their unflinching support ahead of the games.

The Black Stars opened their World Cup campaign against Portugal and the result was not what the nation expected.

The four time African champions were beaten 3-2 by Portugal in the opening group H game at the 974 Stadium in Qatar.

The Black Stars two goals were scored by captain Andre Ayew and substitute Osman Bukari but the two goals were just not enough to rescue any point for the Black Stars.

The good news however is that, there are no injuries in camp of the Black Stars ahead of the second game against South Korea.
