A budding football player with the Aduana Stars Football Club has found himself in the firm grips of the laws of the land as he is alleged to have been involved in a hit and run incident that has seen a police officer dead. Unfortunately as this may seem, it is reported that, the defender had agreed to a deal with a club in the United States (US) and was preparing to leave in the next few days before the incident happened.
The Ghana Police have arrested Aduana Stars defender Farouk Adams for what they alleged to be a hit and run that has resulted in the death of a police officer in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region on Monday, specifically between Asuotiano and Asuhyiae
The Police officer who lost his life in this unfortunate circumstances is identified as one Constable Amos Mattey of the Wamfie Police station, who passed on immediately after he was hard hit by the car of the footballer. It is reported that, the Police Office, Constable Amos Matty, was the officer on duty and had rushed on an errand but he did not return again to post, that night.
However, after countless failed esquires about him, his lifeless body was found the following morning and his body showed various degrees of physical body wounds that was indicative that, he had been involved in a fatal car crash and most specifically, a hit and run accident.
Upon investigations, the hit-and-run car which was discovered to be driven by Farouk Adams, the Aduana Stars budding defender, as the defender was said to be driving a red Toyota Camry with registration number GW 5882-17 when he hit the officer. The player is now set to be arraigned before the Wamfie Magistrate Court today, March 3, 2021.
Late last year, the media reported that, Aduana Stars defender Farouk Adams had emerged as a transfer target in January for Ghana Premier League outfits, Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities. According to reports, Adams who is out of contract with the fire boys is unlikely to renew his deal with the club after negotiations hit a snag due to monetary issues.
The report further indicates that the player is in advance talks with Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities and could sign for them in the January transfer window. Farouk Adams joined Aduana Stars in December 2017 signing a three year deal from Elmina Sharks. He has previously featured for former Berekum Chelsea and Bibiani Goldstars.
Earlier, Farouk Adams had said that his outfit's difficult start to the Ghana Premier League campaign is a test from God, showing how he is a firm believer in the hand of God in a persons life. This happened when the Dormaa-based club had a shaky start to the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign, as they were yet to win a game after four matches into the season.
Speaking about the club's poor run of form, the defender considered their struggles as part of life and also a test from God but is hoping to turn things around as soon as possible. "We've been struggling in our last four games but we consider it as part of life and also a test from God. We the players have already talked to ourselves that the Hearts of Oak game is a must-win for us because winning this game will take us to the 6th position on the league log," Adams told Otec FM.
Details of the new football club based in the USA is not known, but he had already secured his visa and any other documents needed to enable him begin this new stint that was surely going to help advance his young footballing career onto the international stage.
This has drawn peoples attention to the supposed "that may be" behind many people and has occasioned the need for spiritual help from pastors and prophets in the country. They argue that, how such a negative issue may show up just a few days to such a big breakthrough may have been crushed can certainly have been a spiritual orchestration set to ambush his great destiny and make him go through a life of struggle and stress.
These were some of the expressions of persons who are reacting to this current situation, as pictures of his arrest has pooped up.
Also, the Constable at the center of this issue is a young man, who looks very handsome and passed out as a police office of the Ghana Police, most recently. This was his first official posting and even though the family is yet to respond officially to his passing on sadly, the family has indeed lost a darling son, whose life has been cut shot and he is no longer among the living sadly.
Colleagues have been pouring in their condolences as they indicate that, their friend and brother was a quiet, yet full of life gentleman, who severally encouraged them to aspire to be great in this life, whiles serving God faithfully, as they could.
