Liverpool have extended Trent Alexander-contract Arnold's until 2025

Liverpool have extended Trent Alexander-contract Arnold's until 2025, and are in advanced talks with goalkeeper Alisson about doing the same.

The 22-year-old, a product of the club's Academy, has signed a contract with the Reds, committing his future to the club.

“It was a no-brainer for me since I was honoured to be given the opportunity and to be shown the club's trust by being handed an extension,” he says.

“Given the state of the club and my current position in my career, it's always a good option for me. Extending my stay and ensuring that I am here for longer is always a positive thing. I'm all dressed up.

“It's the only club I've ever truly known, so to be here for this long and to have the opportunity to stay longer is incredible for me and my family.

Alexander-Arnold made his professional Liverpool debut in a League Cup fixture against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield in October 2016, and has since gone on to make 179 appearances for his boyhood club, firmly establishing himself as one of the game's best young talents.

In addition, he has 10 goals to his credit and has won the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.

Alexander-Arnold was indeed nominated for the Ballon d'Or in 2019.

Alisson is also eager to reach an agreement on a new contract. He arrived in 2018 from Roma and has quickly established himself as the team's first choice.
