The football action this weekend was very massive as there were lots of exciting fixtures across Europe.

English Premier League
Manchester United vs. Liverpool
Manchester United hosted Liverpool at the Old Trafford. Most fans predicted this would be a difficult game for The Red Devils and it indeed turned out to be so. The Reds put 5 goals past The Red Devils. Mohammed Salah's hattrick together with a goal from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota proved to be enough for The Reds to secure the 3 maximum points away from home. Liverpool is 2nd while Manchester United is 7th on the league table.
Spanish La Liga
Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona
The El-Classico was not the same without the talismen for both sides - Real Madrid playing without Ronaldo and Barcelona without Messi for the first time in so many years. The White Angels took at the lead at Camp Nou kind courtesy David Alaba's goal in the 32nd minute. Lucas Vasquez added the second goal for the away side. Former Manchester City striker, Sergio Kun Aguero pulled one back for Barcelona. Real Madrid is currently 2nd while Barcelona is 9th on the league table with 20 and 15 points respectively.
Italian Series A
Inter Milan vs. Juventus
The Derby d'Italia ended in a draw with both sides scoring a goal apiece. Edzin Dzeko scored a goal in the 17th minute for the Nerazzurri. Paulo Dybala scored a late goal from the penalty spot to secure a point for Juventus away from home. Inter Milan is 3rd while Juventus is 6th on the league table with 18 and 15 points respectively.
French Ligue 1
Paris Saint Germain (PSG) vs. Olymipique Marseille
The Classique between the two sides was very intense today. The game eventually ended in a draw with PSG playing with 10 men after Achraf Hakimi was shown the red card in the 57th minute. PSG currently sits at the top of the league table with 28 points while Olympique Marseille is at the 4th position with 18 points
Ajax vs. PSV Eindhoven
Ajax won its game against PSV Eindhoven by 5:0 at the Johann Cruijff Arena to extend its lead at the top of the table to 4 points. Ajax sits at the top of the league with 25 points in 10 games while PSV Eindhoven follows with 21 points.
