How the Final EPL Table Looks Like as the 2021/22 Season Comes to an End

We've reached the end of the Premier League season of 2021/22. As the season came to a close, we witnessed the battle for the championship, fourth place, and avoiding relegation all come down to the final day! The English Premier League table as of Sunday, May 22, after the 38th matchday of the season.

Manchester City, who came back from a two-goal deficit to upset Aston Villa and dramatically win the Premier League takes the top spot. Liverpool missed out on the Premier League title despite scoring a 3-0 win over Wolves. Chelsea finished the season in third place, with a victory over Watford completing a fantastic season.

The last day of the competition was a nail-biter for the fourth-place finishers. Tottenham Hotspur, on the other hand, finished fourth after a 1-0 victory away against Norwich City on the final day of the season. Arsenal ended up in fifth place despite beating Everton 3-1 on Sunday.

Burnley was dewaxed by Newcastle United in the struggle to avoid relegation to the bottom of the table. Norwich and Watford were the last two teams standing at the end of the season. There will therefore be no Premier League games next season for Burnley, Watford and Norwich.

Other than that, Manchester United's 6th-place finish ensures qualification for the Europa League. Seventh-placed West Ham are just as spots behind.
