Mason Mount has been directly involved in 50 goals across all competitions for Chelsea

Mason Mount has now been directly involved in 50 goals across all competitions for Chelsea in 148 games.

He has scored 25 goals and provided 25 assists for Chelsea. Mason Mount has now provided an assist in each of his last three away games against Norwich, Lille and Middlesbrough.

And they’ve all come in three different competitions.

Mason Mount scored twice in a 2-0 quarter-final triumph over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium, advancing Chelsea to the FA Cup semi-finals.

The Blues were far from their best, and they could have won by a greater margin. Against the wasteful hosts, though, their quality won out in the end.

Boro did have their moments, and the home fans made it difficult for the visitors at times. Despite this, they were unable to convert when it mattered most, as Chelsea maintained their advantage to advance to the Wembley final.

Mount, an England international midfielder, had two assists in the victory. With a tap-in, Romelu Lukaku put the game away, and Ziyech made it 2-0 with a long-range attempt.

Middlesbrough came out firing in the second half, but they lacked the quality to seriously threaten their Premier League opponents.

In two early Chelsea opportunities, Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount were unable to connect with Lukaku.

Meanwhile, the Boro players reaped the benefits of their intense bond with the Riverside Stadium crowd. After winning a corner, Isiah Jones was active on both ends, defending Christian Pulisic's advance.

Chelsea were not at their best and had to work around the gaps in possession that Boro had created.

After 15 minutes, the Blues had sliced apart the hosts and led 1-0. Thiago Silva began the operation by handing it over to Ziyech, who then fed Mount.
