Football is one of the few sports cherished by a majority of Ghanaians. A lot of Ghanaians invest their monies, time and everything in this game in order to get returns. In view of this, people are always vigilant whenever it comes to matters relating to Ghanaian football.
Recently, a popular and an award-winning journalist, Saddick Adams took to his Twitter handle to mock the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for not constructing a single treadmill for the national team.
The sports journalist was breaking the news about an unveiling of a new gym by the Somalia Football Association for its National Teams.
In his post, he decided to take a swipe at the Ghana FA by adding that Ghana has been to the World Cup three times and claims to be the powerhouse of African football but the Ghana FA is yet to construct a single treadmill for the National team.
The Ghana National football team indeed does not have a facility like the Somali’s. The players train in other people’s or group’s facility at a cost.
The reactions of others to the post shows that Ghana is far ahead of Somalia in the world of football. Hence there is the strong notion that the Ghana FA should have done what the Somali FA has done multiple times years ago.
