The Norwegian goal scoring machine has been announced Bundesliga Player of the season after scoring 27 goals and eight assists in 28 appearances.
Erling Haaland beat off the competition from Robert Lewandowski to win the official " Bundesliga player of the season" award for the first time in his career. The 20-years-old who joined Dortmund during the 2020 winter transfer window from RB Salzburg,for the sum of €22m managed to score 27 goals in 28 appearances in this year’s bundesliga campaign.
Haaland also emerged as this year’s UEFA Championship League top scorer with a total of 10 goals in 8 appearances in which he exited in the quarterfinals stages to this year’s finalists Manchester City.
Moreover, he scored a brace in the DFB pokal final against RB Leipzig to help Dortmund secure his first trophy for his new club. In all the dortmund striker has scored 41 goals in 41 games across all competitions and is on the radar of every top football club in the world.
