According to kickgh.com exclusively reports, the reigning champions have reached an agreement with free agent Cameroonian striker Alain Thiery Akono who was released by Moroccan top-tier SC Chabab Mohammedia earlier in the transfer window due to failed expectations as he scored one goal in 9 appearances last season.
The built-striker is understood to have agreed on personal terms with the Porcupine Warriors and is set to sign a contract that will run through to the summer of 2024 alongside a subjected medical examination.
Akono, 26, on his career journey had a short stint in Malaysia with Negeri Sembilan, Tanzanian outfit Azam FC and native top-tier Fortuna du Mfou, where Frank Etouga Mbella was once in their books before joining the Kumasi-based club last summer.
